Two founders. One obsession. A lot of content.

Reels started when Jake and Marc realised the same thing independently - brands were pouring budget into short-form content and getting almost nothing back.

Together they built Reels around a simple idea: short-form content should be treated like a growth channel, not a content calendar. Every video should have a job. Every strategy should be built around results.

Timeline

The story behind Reels.

From a shared frustration to a full-service studio.

2022

The Beginning

Jake and Marc launch Reels with a clear conviction: short-form content deserves to be taken seriously. Two founders, two laptops, and a handful of brands willing to bet on a new approach.

Two men in black smile under red studio lighting, arms around each other, surrounded by professional equipment.

Early 2023

First Breakthrough

A skincare brand scales from 8k to 120k followers in under four months. The result validates the model - and the batch production system is formalised for the first time.

Two men sitting in a photography studio with large softbox lights and a vibrant red glow on the wall.

Mid 2023

Building the Team

The first hires join the studio. A dedicated editor, a casting lead, and an in-house strategist - each chosen for craft as much as capability. The team reaches five.

Two women review a camera monitor and script in a dark studio as a man stands nearby holding coffee.

Mid 2024

50 Brands

Reels crosses 50 active brand partnerships. YouTube Shorts is added as a core distribution channel. The studio begins to outgrow its original shape.

Tablet on a dark desk displaying a photo feed next to a stylus and keyboard. Moody, minimalist workspace.

Early 2025

Full Studio

The team expands to over ten. A dedicated post-production pipeline is built in-house. Total views delivered surpass one billion. The foundation is no longer a bet - it's a proven model.

Eight smiling young adults in black Pexels shirts pose in a red-lit studio with professional photography lighting gear.

2026

Today

A team still driven by the same belief that started it all - that great content, built with intention, is the most powerful growth channel a brand can have.

Hands hold a clapperboard for scene #5, take 2 on a film set with actors under dramatic red lighting.

Remote

We're looking for an editor who understands the rhythm of short-form. Someone who knows that pacing, sound, and caption placement are never accidents. You'll take raw footage and turn it into content that performs.

Content Strategist

Remote

Strategy is where everything at Reels begins. We're looking for someone who can look at a brand, understand its audience, and build a content plan that has a real chance of performing.

Don't see the right role?

We still want to hear from you. If you believe in what we're building and think you have something to contribute, send us your work and a short introduction. If the fit is there, we'll make it work.
